Purpose, Participation, and Guiding Principles

The F.J. Davey Home Family Council is a separately organized, self-led, self-determining group composed of family and friends of the residents of the F.J. Davey Home.

The main purposes of the Family Council are to improve the quality of life and care of Long-Term Care residents and to give families and friends a forum for sharing their experiences, learning, and exchanging information.

Please review our Terms of Reference which also includes our Code of Conduct below for an understanding of what support we provide to Family Members.

Meeting Details & How to Join

The F.J. Davey Home Family Council is now meeting via Zoom every second Tuesday of each month @ 6 pm which may vary due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances.

Please email us at fjdaveyhomefamilycouncil@gmail.com with your name, email address, resident’s name, and what unit your loved one resides in to be added to our email list.

The Family Council invites relevant speakers which have included dietary, pharmacy, facilities, housekeeping and other departments. The Home's Doctors, Directors of Nursing, and Pharmacists have all been open to attending and addressing issues of interest and any concerns of Family Council attendees.
